A movie about authenticity and fake perfection.

Twisting details, leaving out parts or adding what’s not originally been there – we tend to brush up our own stories. We stress certain details and downplay others, we mend and we polish – and all this in order to present the best possible image of ourselves. While we may succesfully cause people to have a higher opinion of us, it’s easy to forget the downside of this enterprise: The loss of freedom to be the person who we truly are – including our weaknesses and flaws. Jesus claimed that God isn’t looking for perfect people – and there aren’t any around anyway. Instead, he challenges us to stop hiding our failures and be honest about the things that have gone wrong since ultimately, this is the only way by which our brokenness can get fixed.
